NGI History & Leadership
Next Generation Inc. (NGI) is a Chicago-based Technology Management and Consulting firm with additional offices in New York and Washington DC. For over 20 years, NGI has focused on helping our public and commercial clients achieve their digital and process transformation initiatives through the use of enabling technologies. We specialize in providing Program Management, HCM and ERP Implementation, Workforce Management and Systems Integration services.
Our team is composed of forward-thinking Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Technology Consultants with extensive business and industry experience that are ready to integrate into your team to deliver solutions that meet and exceed your goals.

Darrell Higueros
CEO
Darrell Higueros is the President & CEO of Next Generation, Inc. (NGI). Mr. Higueros has 20 years of experience serving a broad range of clients that include Fortune 500 companies and public sector organizations.
Darrell in his role as CEO of NGI is responsible for the growth strategy, partner development and client engagement of the company. Darrell is also a hand-on technical and business leader. For the past 15 years, Darrell has provided management consulting services to private sector, state and local public sector clients across a broad range of solution areas. His illustrative projects include: Shared Services; ERP design and implementation; PMO; and RFP development and vendor selection.
Darrell is an active member of a number of different societies and serves on the board of HITEC and the Mayor of Chicago’s advisory board for technology.
Anoop Kumar
COO
Anoop is an experienced technology executive with more than 20 years of experience in all facets of Information Technology development and delivery, in both private and public sector organizations. Anoop’s experience includes IT strategy development, technology and service delivery, product innovation and strategic IT procurement. Anoop has partnered with public sector executives in developing business cases, ROI and TCO analysis for new investments. Anoop also has served as an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) expert on ERP implementations and has guided Tier one contractors in their implementations. Anoop is a published author and has presented in ERP conferences. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Anoop, in his role as Chief Operating Officer of NGI, is responsible for overall delivery of services to our customers and serves as an escalation point of contact for our customers. Anoop is also responsible for managing the day to day operations of NGI with responsibilities for Staffing, Contracting and Internal Operations.


Mike Race
SVP of Workforce Management
Mike Race is a seasoned executive in workforce management with over 30 years of experience driving operational excellence, strategic transformation, and client success. As Senior Vice President of Workforce Management at Next Generation Inc. (NGI), he leads enterprise-wide initiatives to optimize labor strategies and improve performance outcomes.
Previously, Mike was Managing Director at Accenture, overseeing large-scale workforce transformation programs and quality assurance across North America. He also held multiple executive roles at Workforce Insight, including EVP of Operations and SVP of Delivery, where he helped shape the firm into a global leader in workforce analytics and consulting.
Earlier in his career, Mike held leadership roles at Sodexo and Gerber Systems, establishing a strong foundation in labor strategy and technical operations. Known for his collaborative approach and results-driven mindset, Mike continues to influence the future of workforce management through strategic leadership and innovation.
Cynthia Feder
VP of HR Operations
Cynthia Feder serves as the VP of HR Operations for NGI bringing over 15 years of experience to the firm. Cynthia graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Management and a minor in Human Resources. Prior to becoming a VP of HR Operations, Cynthia had excelled in multiple NGI roles working as an Implementation Consultant, Project Manager, and Director of Delivery. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Cynthia is an accomplished HR leader and strategic business partner with a proven background and passion for transformation, building relationships, problem solving, training and development while understanding the business needs creating strategies that yield the best results. In her current role, Cynthia is responsible for designing and implementing strategies that attract and retain top talent, while implementing initiatives that increase workplace productivity and engagement, employee/labor relations, organizational development, diversity and inclusion, conflict resolution, compensation, benefits, change management, employee retention strategies, policy creation, and HR compliance.


Kanon Lefief
VP of Sales
Kanon Lefief is the VP of Sales and Marketing at Next Generation, Inc. As a graduate of the University of Michigan, Mr. Lefief is an accomplished enterprise software sales executive with a proven track record of over 25 years of new business development and successful software and solutions selling both in the public and private sectors. He has participated in the growth of several start-up companies with roles including leadership, direct sales, technical sales, marketing, and strategic planning. He has successfully carried multi-million dollar quotas and consistently has met and exceeded performance expectations year over year. In his role at NGI, Kanon is responsible for software and services sales revenue growth as well as marketing and business alliance initiatives.
His specialties include sales leadership, contract negotiation, new business development, talent management and on-boarding, mentoring and coaching, strategic planning and Cloud solutions.
Adrian Molato
VP of Consulting
Mr. Molato is an experienced project and program manager with over 10 years of success in leading all phases of diverse public and private sector technology projects. His experience encompasses projects in Workforce management, Human Resources, Procurement, Revenue and Finance. He has provided consulting services in Government, Public Health, Higher Education and Aviation. Adrian has presented at industry conferences and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
In his role as Practice Director of NGI, Adrian is responsible for managing the professional services team, which consists of project managers, applications leads and functional analysts.


Alan Bernier
VP of Delivery
Mr. Molato is an experienced project and program manager with over 10 years of success in leading all phases of diverse public and private sector technology projects. His experience encompasses projects in Workforce management, Human Resources, Procurement, Revenue and Finance. He has provided consulting services in Government, Public Health, Higher Education and Aviation. Adrian has presented at industry conferences and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
In his role as Practice Director of NGI, Adrian is responsible for managing the professional services team, which consists of project managers, applications leads and functional analysts.
