The Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (IHCC) is the principal voice for the more than 45,000 Hispanic owned businesses in the State of Illinois. IHCC promotes the growth and success of Hispanic firms and serves as a strong advocate for business issues. Our President and CEO, Darrell Higueros, is the Co-Chair of the Technology and Management Committee.
The mission of the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) is to prepare Hispanic IT executives to be world-class business and IT leaders. HITEC will provide these current and future leaders with the skill sets, professional development and networking opportunities to meet these objectives. Leading organizations are looking for a diverse IT executive team that will help them compete in the current global competitive environment. HITEC creates a great source for this talent by engaging current executives, and promising top level Hispanic technology managers, in a forum that allows them to share their experiences, develop approaches to fill the pipeline, and increase the presence of Hispanic IT managers in executive circles. Our President and CEO, Darrell Higueros, is a member and on the committee for membership and corporate sponsorship.
